Weiser-Künstler farms some of the Mosel’s steepest slate vineyards, producing Rieslings known for their distinctly mineral character. Steffensberg is the estate’s southernmost Grand Cru site, planted on weathered grey slate with a slightly deeper layer of soil that gives the wine more breadth and texture than many of the estate’s other dry Rieslings.
The 2023 vintage is aromatic and detailed, featuring notes of ripe citrus, quince, white peach, herbs, and crushed stone alongside a saline, smoky mineral edge. The palate is light with bright acidity and a long, savory finish that continues to evolve in the glass.
