The Eyrie Vineyards, Trousseau, Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, 2022

$48.00

The Eyrie Vineyards was founded by David and Diana Lett in the Dundee Hills in 1965 and is now led by their son Jason Lett. Inspired by the wines of France’s Jura region, Jason planted the Willamette Valley’s first Trousseau in 2012. The estate’s Trousseau comes from the Sisters Vineyard and is grown organically without irrigation or tillage. The 2022 was fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and aged for 10 months in neutral oak puncheons before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Light and fresh, it shows cranberry, pomegranate and blackberry with wild herbs, pepper and earthy spice. Gentle tannins and lively acidity give the wine a savory, energetic finish. Varietal: Trousseau Appellation: Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United States Farming: Certified Organic Style: Red. Light, fresh and savory
