The Eyrie Vineyards was founded by David and Diana Lett, who established their first vineyard in Oregon in 1965 and were the first to plant Pinot Gris commercially in the New World. Their Estate Pinot Gris brings together fruit from four estate vineyards in the Dundee Hills, including some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in the region. The vineyards are dry-farmed on the volcanic soils that define the Dundee Hills. The 2022 was fermented and aged in stainless steel, undergoing full malolactic fermentation and spending 11 months on its native yeast lees. Textured and expressive, it shows pear, yellow apple and citrus with subtle floral, almond and savory notes. Fresh acidity balances the rounded texture, leading to a long, clean finish.
