The Royal Tokaji Wine Company was founded in 1990 and focuses on the traditional wines of Tokaj, including both the region’s historic sweet wines and dry expressions of Furmint. The vineyards lie among the volcanic hills of northeastern Hungary, where Furmint’s naturally high acidity is particularly well suited to producing fresh, structured dry wines.
Whole bunches are gently pressed, with fermentation and aging divided between stainless steel and Hungarian oak. Fresh and crisp, the wine shows green apple, pear and white flowers alongside ripe peach and apricot. Bright acidity gives the palate energy and structure, leading to a clean, dry and refreshing finish.
Varietal: Furmint
Appellation: Tokaj, Hungary
Farming: Traditional
Style: White. Dry, crisp and refreshing
