Located in the border hills of Oslavia in Friuli, the Radikon family applies their uncompromising natural philosophy to red varietals as well. The 'RS' Rosso is a blend of Merlot and the indigenous Pignolo grape, grown in the region's classic 'ponca' soils of stratified marl and sandstone.
Farmed organically and harvested by hand, the grapes undergo a shorter maceration than the whites and are aged in large oak casks with zero sulfur additions. The wine is vibrant and deeply savory, offering crunchy notes of dark plum, wild blackberry, and earthy spice, supported by fine, persistent tannins.
