Le Ragnaie, Toscana Bianco, Tuscany, 2022

$26.00

Le Ragnaie is Riccardo Campinoti’s estate in Montalcino, best known for traditionally made Sangiovese from some of the area’s higher-elevation vineyards. The estate also produces a small amount of white wine from two traditional Tuscan varieties, Trebbiano and Malvasia, grown around the Le Ragnaie property. The 2022 is an equal blend of the two grapes. The 2022 spent six days on the skins during fermentation in stainless steel, giving the wine more texture and structure than a conventional white. White fruit and citrus are joined by aromatic herbs and subtle savory notes, with bright acidity balancing the gentle grip from the skin contact. A saline quality carries through the palate, leading to a long, lightly almond-like finish. Varietal: Trebbiano, Malvasia Appellation: Toscana Bianco, Tuscany, Italy Farming: Organic Style: White. Textured, savory and saline
