J.L. Chave Sélection is the négociant label of Jean-Louis Chave, created alongside the family’s domaine wines to work with selected vineyards throughout the Northern Rhône. Circa is made entirely from Roussanne grown on the granite slopes of Mauves in Saint-Joseph, including old vines that give the wine considerable depth and texture.
The 2023 was vinified and aged in wood, emphasizing the naturally rich character of Roussanne while retaining freshness. Ripe pear, apricot and yellow fruit are joined by acacia, almond and subtle spice. The palate is broad and textured, with enough acidity to balance the richness and carry the wine through a long, savory finish.
