J.B. Becker is a historic family estate in Walluf, founded in 1893 and today led by Hans-Josef Becker. Since taking over in 1971, Becker has remained committed to traditionally made, dry Riesling and long, patient aging. This Alte Reben bottling comes from the estate’s oldest vines in Wallufer Walkenberg, ranging from more than 40 years old to around 70 years, and represents a deeper, more concentrated expression of the vineyard.
The 2023 is fully dry, combining ripe peach, apricot and citrus with pronounced stony and savory notes. The old vines give the wine depth and concentration, while firm acidity keeps the palate fresh and focused. Powerful but not heavy, it finishes long and dry with lingering citrus, spice and saline minerality.
