Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier is a historic family estate in Chambolle-Musigny, with holdings in some of the Côte de Nuits’ most celebrated vineyards. Clos de la Maréchale is a 9.76-hectare Premier Cru monopole in Premeaux-Prissey, at the southern end of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Owned exclusively by the Mugnier family since 1902, it is the largest monopole in the Côte d’Or.
The 2022 combines ripe red fruit with floral and subtle savory notes, showing the fullness of the vintage without losing freshness. Raspberry and cherry are joined by iris and spice, with fine tannins giving the palate structure and a supple texture. Fresh acidity carries the wine through a long, elegant finish.
