Henri Germain et Fils is a small family domaine based in Meursault, founded by Henri Germain in 1973 and now led by Jean-François Germain with his daughter Lucie Germain. Their Meursault-Charmes comes from Chardonnay planted in one of the village’s most celebrated Premier Cru vineyards, with parcels situated toward the Puligny-Montrachet side of the climat.
Made in the domaine’s traditional style, the wine is fermented and aged in barrel with limited new oak and extended time in the cold cellar. The 2023 has generous texture balanced by citrus, pear, white flowers, and subtle hazelnut, with a long, mineral finish. It has the depth expected from Charmes while remaining beautifully composed, making it a serious white Burgundy to drink now or cellar.
