Domaine Jean Tardy & Fils is a small family estate based in Flagey-Échezeaux, with holdings across several villages of the Côte de Nuits. Aux Boulardes comes from Pinot Noir grown in Comblanchien, toward the southern end of the Côte de Nuits, where the domaine produces a more structured expression of the Côte de Nuits-Villages appellation. The 2021 was fully destemmed and given a short cold maceration before fermentation, then aged in barrel with around 25% new oak. Red cherry and raspberry are joined by floral, earthy and subtle spicy notes. The cooler character of the vintage brings bright acidity and fine tannins, giving the wine a fresh, savory finish.
