Champagne Pierre Peters, L'Étonnant Monsieur Victor Édition TB.18, Côtes des Blanc, Champagne, France

$386.00

Pierre Péters is a historic grower based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs, specializing in Chardonnay from the region’s chalk-rich Grand Cru vineyards. L’Étonnant Monsieur Victor is one of the estate’s rarest cuvées, created by Rodolphe Péters and named for his son. Édition TB.18 combines Chardonnay from the 2018 harvest of the celebrated Les Chétillons vineyard with Réserve Oubliée, bringing together the character of a single harvest with the complexity of mature reserve wine. The wine undergoes extended bottle aging under cork before disgorgement and is finished as an Extra Brut. TB.18 is layered but remarkably fresh, with citrus, pear and stone fruit joined by chamomile, subtle spice and brioche. The palate has a creamy, finely textured quality balanced by chalky minerality and bright acidity, carrying through a long, saline finish. Varietal: Chardonnay Appellation: Côte des Blancs, Champagne, France
Farming: Sustainable viticulture Style: Sparkling. Complex, chalky and finely textured
