Cellier Saint Benoit, Chardonnay Courbes Raies, Arbois Pupillin, Jura, 2022
Cellier Saint Benoit’s 2022 “Courbes Raies” comes from old-vine Chardonnay planted on Triassic limestone soils in Pupillin, a historic vineyard zone within the Arbois-Pupillin appellation in Jura. The grapes were hand-picked, whole-cluster pressed, and matured in 600 L old oak barrels before returning to tank for refinement.
On the nose, aromas of yellow apple, white peach, and soft lemon zest are layered with chalk and a fine herbal note. The palate is direct yet generous, with bright orchard fruit and a clean mineral thread that carries into the finish. Clean, refined, and distinctly Jura, this Chardonnay offers clarity, character, and subtle depth.
Varietal: Chardonnay
Appellation: Arbois-Pupillin, Jura, France
Farming: Organic transition, hand-harvested
Style: White. Fresh, mineral, and refined
