Bernhard Ott is a leading Austrian grower with a particular focus on Grüner Veltliner, farming organically and working with vineyards around his home in Feuersbrunn. Am Berg has been part of the estate since 1994 and is made primarily from younger vines planted on loess soils in Wagram and neighboring Kamptal.
The 2024 was harvested entirely by hand and fermented spontaneously, then aged primarily in stainless steel with a portion in large Stockinger oak casks. Fresh and easy to drink, it shows yellow apple, citrus and subtle herbs with Grüner Veltliner’s characteristic peppery spice. Bright acidity and a gentle saline note keep the finish crisp and refreshing.
Varietal: Grüner Veltliner
Appellation: Wagram & Kamptal, Austria
Farming: Organic
Style: White. Fresh, crisp and lightly spicy
