Arnot-Roberts has made its California Rosé from Portuguese varieties since 2010, sourcing fruit from vineyards across several distinct California growing regions. The 2025 is led by Touriga Nacional, with Trincadeira, Grenache and Tinta Cão. Fruit comes from sites including Luchsinger in Clear Lake, St. Amant in Amador County, St. Jorge in Lodi, Pierce Ranch in San Antonio Valley and Fenaughty in the Sierra Foothills.
The grapes are hand-harvested and lightly crushed before pressing. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, followed by full native malolactic fermentation. The wine is dry and refreshing, with strawberry, citrus and melon alongside floral and savory notes, finishing with bright acidity and subtle salinity.
